There have been a lot of Netflix series cancelled after a second season. Many of which have left fans heartbroken and frustrated. None moreso perhaps than “Warrior Nun.” It was cancelled on a cliffhanger, and has subsequently built a fan following of epic proportions. Many of which were so enraged by the cancelling of the series, they’ve been fighting to revive it ever since. With petitions, social media bombardments, and arguments against “Netflix’s cruel system of killing series to make more profits without paying residuals.”

In an amazing turn of events, “Warrior Nun” is being raised from the dead! It will be returning as a trilogy of movies, but it won’t be for Netflix.

Series creator Simon Barry thanked fans deeply while announcing the series return. ““Today I’m happy to officially report that because of your combined voices, passion and amazing efforts — Warrior Nun will return and is going to be more EPIC than you could imagine,” Barry said. “More details to come! SOON! Thank you!!”

Further Details Will Have To Wait

Not many details are known yet. Not because they aren’t there, but because of the ongoing strikes. But it seems Barry is bursting at the seams to share. Executive Producer owner of Perfect Circle Productions Dean English also deeply thanked the fans with a video.

“I need to start by thanking all of you loyal fans. It’s because of you and your incredible energy that we keep pushing forward to make these stories,” English said. “You guys really make it all worthwhile. So thank you so much for your continued support.”

Watch the full thank you video below. Against slim odds, “Warrior Nun” is back! We’ll let you know what we hear about this project- casting, release dates, and where it’s likely to hit.
