Bumblebee Scooter Best Segway Intro for a Kid

Segway provided me with a Bumblebee kick scooter to review, and it would be an understatement to say my daughter (age 8) loved it. It was so cool! From the first look at the box she was completely excited to try and ride the scooter.

The excitement in part was because her dad had just showed her “Bumblebee.” I thought it was appropriate to watch before the scooter came, so she’d really understand and appreciate the iconography. While she was playing with it, we pretended the scooter WAS Bumblebee, and that he was controlling it so she wouldn’t fall off. Luckily there were only a few times where she did fall, but she was able to get back on right away.

It has a neat brake that you don’t have to press hard to get to function. So you can taper off your speed instead of just stopping outright. This made it easier for her to maneuver.

Overall I would say that this scooter was easier for her to ride on than some of the other big brands of scooter. It was light enough so that she could easily get going while some other brands are just too heavy. That also means that if it were to fall on top of her it would hurt less than some of the others we’ve tried.

You can get your very own Bumblebee Scooter by clicking the link here. This would make a great gift for any Transformer’s fan and can be used in any season.
