“The Afterparty”, our favorite genre-hopping show returns for season 2 and makes it a family affair. The Apple TV+ streaming show premiered in 2022 centering around a murder that takes place at a high school reunion. The sophomore season transports us to a wedding turned funeral.

We had the chance to sit down with four of the new cast members to discuss murders most foul, alibis, and accomplices. Elizabeth Perkins (“Weeds” “Big”) and Anna Konkle (“Pen15”, The Drop) play Isabel and Hannah Minnows, a mother and adoptive daughter duo. Jack Whitehall (“Jungle Cruise”, “Fresh Meat”) and Paul Walter Hauser (“Black Bird”, “I, Tonya”) star as Sebastian, associate of the groom, and Travis, an ex of the bride.

More about “The Afterparty” Season 2: From Academy Award winners Chris Miller and Phil Lord, each episode of “The Afterparty” explores a different character’s account of one fateful evening, all told through the lens of popular film genres and unique visuals to match the storyteller’s perspective. In season two, a wedding is ruined when the groom is murdered and every guest is a suspect. Detective Danner (Haddish) returns to help Aniq (Richardson) and Zoë (Chao) solve whodunnit by questioning family members, star-crossed lovers and business partners, and hearing each suspect’s retelling of the weekend, each with their own unique perspective and visual style.

Also starring: Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson, Zoë Chao, Zach Woods, Poppy Liu, Vivian Wu, John Cho, Ken Jeong.
