Channing Tatum May Finally Appear as Gambit in “Deadpool 3”

Every “Deadpool” film has enjoyed poking fun at all the various “X-Men” films. And it wouldn’t appear to be stopping there. Or so we think. Rumor has it that Channing Tatum may appear in “Deadpool 3” as Remy Lebeau, a.k.a. Gambit. Probably as a poke in the ribs to the spin-off film that was quagmired at Fox studios since 2014 before being shelved by Disney in 2019. This will film theoretically pull a multi-verse with this current film, it’s likely it won’t be the only joke made at the expense of failed or cancelled projects.

Speaking of multi-verses, we appear to be in one of our own. As this third installment in the “Deadpool” films will be the first put out by Disney and belonging to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Weird, right? Let’s hope the R-rating sticks that that meddling from Disney execs keeps largely harmless. This will also be a reuniting of cast and crew from different projects.

“Deadpool 3” is under the direction of Shawn Levy, who worked with Ryan Reynolds on “The Adam Project” and “Free Guy.” Levy also worked with Hugh Jackman on “Real Steel.” So there’s certainly a reuniting of universes in a way. The script is being developed by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who also wrote the scripts for the first and second films.

Jennifer Garner is also making an appearance, reportedly as Elektra.

Though the third installment was previously worked on by the Molyneux Sisters. “Deadpool 3” is scheduled to release May 4th, 2024. We’ll be sure to keep you up to date and in the know as more about the film develops.
