We wish we were kidding. But apparently former Twitter CEO Elon Musk and Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg are tired of duking it out on social media. Musk mocked Zuckerberg for his near-obsessive interest in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, ending a recent post with a both terrible and great idea.
“I’m up for a cage match if he is,” Musk wrote. To which Zuckerberg responded, “send me location.” Anyone else think this sounds like two middle-schoolers making plans to fight after school behind the lockers?
It’s honestly one of the sillier things we’ve seen. Especially from two grown men who tend to laud their intelligence for technology and business as second to none. Then again, we shouldn’t be surprised either. Most modern billionaires tend to be highly lacking in social graces and sport egos the size of Jupiter. So this is what happens when those egos clash apparently. But in response to Zuckerberg, Musk has, in fact, named a location.
“Vegas Octagon,” Musk suggested. “I have this great move that I call ‘The Walrus’ where I just lie on top of my opponent & do nothing.” We’re not sure, but we think it’s Musk’s attempt at what he thinks is humor? Or perhaps it’s just some tongue-in-cheek given we’re pretty sure he’d lose fantastically were he and Zuckerberg to actually have a cage match.
Then again, Musk has a horrific habit of running his mouth due to his paper-thin skin.
