While a certain someone has a certain adventure film due out later this month, he’s ALSO in the middle of working on a certain pretty big super hero franchise. Harrison Ford– Indiana Jones himself- is joining the MCU in the upcoming 4th “Captain America” film. It was originally going to be titled “New World Order,” but the news this morning includes an update to that.
Following the happenings of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” “Captain America: Brave New World” will focus on Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) really living the Captain America life. A sneak peak image from earlier today shows Mackie and Ford sitting at monitor village on set, presumably between scenes.

Ford is taking on the role of General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, who was originally played by the late William Hurt. Liv Tyler, who played Betty Ross (the General’s daughter), will be joining the film, making the character’s official MCU debut.
Mackie‘s Sam Wilson has become Captain America. We are very pleased to report Carl Lumbly will be back as Isaiah Bradley, the original super soldier. We first saw him appear in “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” alongside Mackie and Sebastian Stan. Danny Ramirez is also returning as characterJoaquin Torres.

Malcolm Spellman (“The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” series creator) penned the script for “Captain America 4” along with Dalan Musson. Julius Onah is directing. Filming is currently underway in Atlanta, GA.
At present, Marvel Studios has “Captain America: Brave New World” slatted for a May 3rd, 2024 release date. We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.
