12 Images from DC Comics’ “G’nort’s Illustrated” Swimsuit Issue

It’s nearly summer and you know what that means! Swimsuit season! It looks like DC Comics is bringing back a tried and true tradition- the swimsuit issue. A tease for the upcoming “G’nort’s Illustrated” reminds us of some of those great Jim Lee summer issues from the 90s.

There will be centerfolds! There are three potential centerfolds and you won’t know who you’ve got until you read it. We’re assuming that some will be only available in variant cover issues so you’ll definitely want to collect them all. DC Comics will reveal the centerfold characters and artists in the coming months.

“‘G’nort’s Illustrated Swimsuit Edition’ collects some of the splashiest, steamiest, swimsuit covers from DC Comics’ best talent, all in one place for the very first time, along with Steve Orlando and Paul Pelletier’s Midnighter and Apollo story, ‘Out There,’ from ‘DC Cybernetic Summer,’ a new 8-page story featuring The Penguin—clad in the tightest bathing trunks you can imagine—by Julie Benson and Shawna Benson drawn by Meghan Hetrick, and more.”

Main cover by Vasco Georgiev, along with open-to-order cardstock variant covers by J. Scott Campbell and Adam Hughes, and a 1:25 variant cover by Pablo Villalobos. If you want them all make sure to contact your local comic book shop and tell them to add it to your pull list.

This issue hits stands August 23rd.
