Harrison Ford Not Involved with Disney+ “Indiana Jones” TV Show

Hollywood star Harrison Ford will apparently NOT be a part of Disney+‘s upcoming “Indiana Jones” tv project. While not much is known about the possible series, it has been rumored for some time. Ford of course launched the franchise with “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark” in 1981, and has continued to play the fedora and leather jacket clad adventurer ever since.

Ford has indicated his last performance of Indy will likely be “Dial of Destiny,” which hits theaters June 30th.

“This is the final film in the series, and this is the last time I’ll play the character,” Ford told Total Film. “I anticipate that it will be the last time that he appears in a film. I’m aware of the fact that there are plans underway — or underfoot — for a television version of the Indiana Jones experience, but I’ll not be involved in that, if it does come to fruition.”

“The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles” ran from 1992 to 1996, and was the first attempt at a series based on Indy. This will be the second television series based on the character. It’s highly likely we’ll see a younger version of Indy. Or, the series could go in a separate direction altogether. They may choose to focus on his family members and launch the franchise into the future.

We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.
