Tiffany and Chucky sitting in a tree, k-i-l-l-i-n-g! Mattel is adding horror icons Tiffany Valentine and Charles Lee Ray (aka Chucky) from the “Child’s Play” franchise to their Monster High toy line. While the Monster High toys and all its movie and shows are based on the daughters of classic monsters, Mattel has only recently started turning to more modern horror films for inspiration.

The brand has already done dolls for “The Shining,” Stephen King’s “IT,” “Beetlejuice,” “Gremlins 2,” and horror host Elvira. It seems as if the on-and-off sweethearts will be based on the “Bride of Chucky” version of the characters.

Monster High teased the Chucky and Tiffany dolls as part of their “Skullector” line. Which focuses on limited-edition figures that tend to be highly sought after and sell out fast. So if you want these, you’d better snatch them up quick!

While the “Monster High” series is already on the child-friendly end of spooky. It seems like they are amping up how gory their inspiration is. This could be a bid to pull in more adult collectors. But given the teaser images, the dolls still seem fairly kid friendly. At least more so than the versions you’d find at Spencer’s Gifts, or in the films/TV show.

The pair will hit shelves on May 1, 2023. We’ll keep you posted on more “Monster High” news as it develops.
