    (1) For building a scalable Cisco network (BSCI, routing) exam

    The content of the new exam (642-901) includes:

    a) Implement Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) operations;

    b) Implement multi-area Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) operation;

    c) Describe the intermediate system-intermediate system (IS-IS);

    d) Implement the routing functions of the Cisco Internetwork Operating System (IOS);

    e) Enable Border Gateway Routing Protocol (BGP) connectivity to Internet Service Providers (ISP);

    f) Realize multicast forwarding;

    g) Implementation of Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPV6)

    The original exam (642-801) included:

    a) Implement Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP) operations;

    b) Implement multi-area Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) operation;

    c) Describe and implement Intermediate System-Intermediate System (IS-IS); implements the advanced routing functions of the Cisco Internetwork Operating System (IOS);

    d) Enable Border Gateway Routing Protocol (BGP) connections to Internet Service Providers (ISPs);

    e) Description and implementation of advanced IP addressing techniques; description and implementation of IP routing principles

    (2) For the examination of building a converged Cisco multilayer switching network (BCMSN, routing)

    The content of the new exam (642-812) includes:

    a) Implement Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs); run Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) in hierarchical networks;

    b) Implement routing between virtual local area networks (VLANs);

    c) Implement gateway redundancy technology;

    d) Describe and configure unlimited access for clients;

    e) Describe and configure the security features of the switched network;

    f) Configure voice support

    The original exam (642-811) included:

    a) Describe and implement Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) in layered networks;

    b) Describe and implement virtual local area networks (VLANs);

    c) Describe and implement routing between virtual local area networks (VLANs);

    d) Describe and implement some highly practical technologies;

    e) Describe and implement multicast forwarding;

    f) Describe and implement the security features of the switching network;

    (3) 642-825 Implementing Secure Convergence ISCW for WAN

    a) To achieve basic telecommunications staff services;

    b) Implement frame-mode multi-protocol label switching (Frame-Mode MPLS);

    c) Implement site-to-site IPSec virtual personal network (×××);

    d) Describe the network security policy;

    e) To achieve radiation protection radio communication (Hardening) of Cisco equipment;

    f) Implement Cisco IOS firewall;

    g) Describe and configure Cisco IOS IPS.

    b) Describe and implement PPP in a remote access environment;

    c) Describe and implement ISDN;

    f) Describe and implement backup solutions for connectivity.

    (4) 642-845 ONT Optimized Convergence Cisco Network

    a) Describe the implementation of Cisco VoIP.

    b) Describe QoS points

    c) Description Implementation of Different Quality of Service (DiffServ QoS)

    d) Implementing Automatic Quality of Service (AutoQoS)

    e) Enabling security and management of wireless local area networks (WLANs)

    Original Exam 642-831 CIT Internet Troubleshooting Support Content

    a) Describe and implement effective troubleshooting strategies;

    b) Troubleshooting of IP unicast and multicast routing;

    c) Troubleshooting of multilayer switched networks;

    d) Troubleshooting WAN and Remote Access
