Joseph Gordon-Levitt (“Inception”), Shailene Woodley (“The Descendants”), and Richard Madden (“Game of Thrones”) are set to star in Prime Video’s new thriller “Killer Heat.” The new movie is based on Jo Nesbø’s 2021 short story, “The Jealousy Man.” It will center around twin brothers (Madden) caught in a violent love triangle on a remote Greek island. A damaged detective known as “The Jealousy Man” (Gordon-Levitt), is called in to investigate.

“Killer Heat” will be directed by filmmaker Philippe Lacôte (“Night of the Kings”), from a script by Roberto Bentivegna (“House of Gucci”) with revisions from Oscar and BAFTA-nominated screenwriter Matt Charman (“Bridge of Spies”). The film will begin production in Crete next month, and Faliro House will act as the local production entity.

Makeready’s Brad Weston working as a producer on “Killer Heat” and Oscar Montemayor as an associate producer. In addition to starring, Gordon-Levitt will also executive produce the movie along with Nesbø, Niclas Salomonsson, Tom Karnowski, and Makeready’s Collin Creighton.

Gordon-Levitt recently appeared in Rian Johnson’s “Poker Face” at Peacock. He also has some upcoming big screen roles in “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley.” As well as John Carney’s “Flora and Son,” which already premiered at the Sundance Film Festival to rave reviews.

Woodley just received an Emmy-nominated for her performance on “Big Little Lies.” Later this year, she will star in Sony Picture’s “Dirty Money” along with Seth Rogen and Paul Dano. As well as starring Michael Mann’s new film “Ferrari” with Adam Driver. Along with Neon’s new comedy “Robots”  which will also stars Jack Whitehall. If that wasn’t enough, Woodley will also be in the series “Three Women,”  which is adapted from Lisa Taddeo’s bestselling novel.

Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra Jonas in “Citadel” Prime Video

Madden is set to star in the series “Citadel” with Priyanka Chopra Jonas, also for Prime Video. The new series is set to release on April 28th of this year.  We’ll keep you posted on updates about “Killer Heat” as they develop.
