Paramount+ has just given the official series order for upcoming live action series, “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.” This is a series that’s been rumored/in-development off and on for 20+ years. Current “Trek” sheppard Alex Kurtzman will co-showrun “Starfleet Academy” with Noga Landau.
“Admission is now open to Starfleet Academy! Explore the galaxy! Captain your destiny! While we don’t know exactly where in the continuum the series will land, it’s likely to tie most closely in with “Star Trek: Discovery.” This news comes on the heels of “Strange New Worlds” and “Lower Decks” getting renewals.
Tawny Newsome has reportedly joined the writers room for the project.
