We are sorry to report Disney+’s “Willow” series will not be getting a second season. Hailing from original film director Ron Howard, the continuation of the adventures of Willow premiered in 2022 to mixed reviews. Some fans found it to be a pretty great show- blending high fantasy elements with humor- while others didn’t care for some of the story choices.

Warwick Davis, who played the character of Willow in the original film, led a cast including Ellie Bamber, Ruby Cruz, Erin Kellyman, Amer Chadha-Patel, and Tony Revolori.
Creatives on the series were hopeful for more, and we can’t blame them. Writer/co-showrunner Jon Kasdan‘s enthusiasm for the project has been infectious.
Disney has not commented on the cancellation yet.
