Oh “John Wick,” you never cease to find new ways to thrill us. The premiere action series of the last 10 years will be seeing its 4th film premiering later this year. It’s hard to believe that its been almost a decade since the first movie hit theaters in the fall of 2014, but here we are. With the next adventure on the horizon, now would be the perfect time to revisit Keanu Reeves and his portrayal of a former hitman. What better way to do it than through a new 4K steelbook collector’s set?

Containing 3 steelbooks concealed within a stash book, these items may not be able to save you in a massive gunfight, but they are entertaining. It also looks like they’ve gone through the trouble of replicating a bit of the book’s innards with at least one or two pages inside the “book.” Gotta love that attention to detail.

“John Wick” was something of a career renaissance for Reeves. Not that he’s ever really been out of favor, but before his turn as Wick, his film career had been…lacking. In 2014, he hadn’t had a box-office hit in almost 6 years with “The Day the Earth Stood Still” and even that had met with tepid reception. After a string of smaller budget films and directing “Man of Tai Chi,” Reeves needed a hit.

The unexpected critical and commercial success of “John Wick” greenlit the equally successful “John Wick: Chapter 2″ and 2019’s “John Wick Chapter 3 – Parabellum.” The latter of these projects became the highest grossing in the series. Spinoff film “Ballerina,” which stars Ana de Armas, is finishing production now. Spinoff series “The Continental” will theoretically hit Peacock sometime in 2023. “John Wick: Chapter 4” will rampage through the criminal underworld yet again on March 24th, 2023.
