    Yahya Abdul-Mateen II to Lead “Wonder Man” MCU Series

    Some Marvel Studios casting news for you all today- sounds like “Aquaman” star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is heading to the upcoming “Wonder Man” Disney+ series! Chances are you also saw him in “Candyman,” “The Matrix: Revolutions,” and “Watchmen.”

    He *was* originally in George Miller‘s upcoming “Mad Max: Fury Road” prequel film “Furiosa” as well, but had to pull out due to “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” reshoots.

    “Wonder Man” is being developed by Destin Daniel Cretton (“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings“) exclusively for Disney+. Sir Ben Kingsley will be returning as Trevor Slattery for the series as well.
