With a release just around the corner, Marvel Studios’ upcoming “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” just got an extended trailer.

A direct sequel to 2018’s wildly popular “Black Panther,” Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba) fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. Introducing Tenoch Huerta as Namor, king of Talokan, the film also stars Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena and Alex Livinalli.

In this new trailer, we get a better look at the new Black Panther, who appears to be a woman in a redesigned suit. Rumors among fans have been swirling as to who will take up the mantle, Shuri, Nakia, and Okoye are the most likely options. But there is always the possibility of it being someone completely different.

We FINALLY get a glimpse of the MCU’s newest hero, Ironheart, flying in her makeshift armor. It also gives us a good gander at the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, along with its ruler, Namor. Confirming he will in fact fly with his winged feet, as shown in the comic books. M’Baku also tells us that Atlanteans call Namor “K’uk’ulkan, the feather serpent god,” and killing him will “risk eternal war.”

It’s no surprise they want to go big for “Black Panther” since Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced at Comic-Con that this will be the final film of Phase Four for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not to mention honoring the memory of the star of the first film Chadwick Boseman who tragically lost his battle with cancer in 2020.

“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” opens in theaters November 11th. Tickets go on sale today.
