There are different cultures in the world. Cultures are formed when people speaking the same language and values mingle with each other. Different cultures of the world show how diverse the world is. Arab culture is different from Europe culture.

To get insights into each culture, you must understand the language of that culture. If you don’t know the Arabic language but still you want to study the culture of Arab people then you must go for Arabic translation services.

    Arab Countries and Language

There are 22 Arab countries in the Middle East and North Africa. The region in which these countries lie is called the MENA region. The inhabitants of these countries speak the Arabic language.

Arabic is a historic language and represents the cultural resonance of the Muslim World. At present, this language is playing an important role in business and international relations.  This is because the MENA region is providing ample investment and business opportunities in different fields.

People learn the Arabic language for business purposes. The Middle East is rich in oil resources. So many people from developing countries go there to seek jobs.

To seek jobs, they must know the Arabic language. Therefore, people that don’t know the Arabic language take the assistance of professional Arabic translation. Markets are emerging in the MENA region so knowing the Arabic language can be of great help to you in the future.

    Importance of Arabic Language

Arabic is the most widely spoken language in the world. Around 400 million people speak Modern Standard Arabic. Moreover, Arabic is native to 300 million people. It is the official language of MENA region countries such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Tunisia, and Algeria.

Arabic is one of the six languages of the United Nations

United Nations has six official languages that are Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish. It makes the UN the largest employer of linguistics. These are all important languages. Therefore, each language has specified a day for its celebration. The significance of the Arabic language is celebrated on 18th December each year. This date holds great importance because on this date in 1973, Arabic was declared the sixth language of the UN.

The Rules regarding Alcohol vary in the Arab Countries

In many Arab Muslim cultures, use of alcohol consumption is forbidden. For instance, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Yamen, and UAE.  But in a few Arab countries, alcohol is allowed because of non-Muslim people such as Qatar and Egypt.

If you are visiting an Arab country for an official visit then do not consume alcohol so that you can make a good cultural impression. You can have Arabic coffee and locally brewed tea instead of alcohol.

    The Arabic Language Represents Islam

Most of the native Arabic speakers are Muslim. It is considered the language of the Muslim religion Islam because the holy book of Muslims which is the Quran is in the Arabic language. Therefore, people from all cultures give regard to this language.

    Arabic Culture Mouth Watering Cuisine

It is very difficult to list down the mouth-watering Arabic cuisine because Arabic is spoken in many countries with different cultures. Thus, the food that is identical to Arabic culture is different from African specialties and Mediterranean dishes.

Important Arabic food includes lamb-based dishes, couscous, bread, and Hummus. In addition to it, Arabic people give great importance to fruits and nuts. Nuts include dates and almonds. One thing that you will never find on the menu is Pork.

What is the Difference between Classical and Modern Standard Arabic

The holy book of Muslims is written in Classical Arabic. However, it evolved with time and came up with the modern form called Modern Standard Arabic. This dialect of Arabic is used in books, newspapers, education, and media.

Modern Standard Arabic is used in Arab countries with around 30 different dialects. These dialects are not mutually intelligible. Even then Modern Standard Arabic is used for communication in the MENA region.

Are the Farsi and Arabic Mutually Intelligible?

Some people think that Arabic and Farsi are the same languages but they are not. There are several reasons for this perception. First is that both languages are written in Arabic script. They are mostly spoken by  Arabs in the Middle East.

The reality is that Arabic and Farsi are from different groups of language families. They have entirely different grammar and pronunciation. However, Farsi has borrowed many loan words from Arabic. Some of the words are entirely different. To differentiate between the Farsi and Arabic languages, you should take the assistance of a professional Farsi translation.

    Wrapping Up

Farsi contains a lot of Arabic words. You will be surprised to know that 40% of words in the Farsi dictionary are of Arabic origin. If you want to remove ambiguities about both languages and want to use Arabic for understanding the rich culture of Arabs then you must take the assistance of Farsi translation services.
