How Metaverse Could Turn Everyone into Gamers?

You have probably heard of emerging metaverse technology thanks to Mark Zuckerberg and one of his recent interviews in which he discussed the future of Facebook. It has been a couple of months since Mark Zuckerberg announced that Facebook will be rebranded to Meta, and nobody was shocked by this simply because we know Mark is one of the greatest innovators of our time.

In his interview discussing the future of Facebook, Mark said that the company will focus more on the emerging metaverse technology. At the time, we did not know much about metaverse, but fast forward today, we have a better idea. Mark Zuckerberg’s goal is to build a social media platform powered by Virtual Reality technologies. Metaverse technology also seems to attract the attention of other companies, such as NVIDIA, Epic Games, Microsoft, Roblox, Unity Software, Apple, and many others.

    What is Metaverse Technology?

In order to understand why many video gaming companies are interested in exploring Holiverse metaverse technology, we have to examine what this technology means. In the simplest terms, metaverse technology represents a network of 3D-rendered worlds powered by Virtual Reality technology with the main focus on social interaction and connection.

In order to enter a 3D world built on metaverse technology, users need a VR headset to navigate the metaverse world using their voice commands. Essentially, the metaverse term describes a powerful combination of mixed and virtual reality worlds that can be accessed through a VR headset or a browser. Metaverse technology powering 3D VR worlds allows people to enjoy real-time social interactions, as well as real-world experiences, across great distances.

According to companies working in the iGaming industry, metaverse will also allow real-time gambling on loads of different games. It was also revealed that the very first metaverse iGaming site will open its doors sometime in late 2022. Before this happens, we recommend you take a look at Fortune Coins Casino which is one of the best social casinos out there at the moment.

Metaverse Technology in the Video Gaming Industry

The global video gaming industry is also rapidly changing thanks to emerging metaverse technologies and this should not be a surprise considering the fact that video gaming is all about creating more immersive gaming experiences. The industry already houses quite a few metaverse video games that let you explore virtual worlds and interact with others. Some of these are Axie Infinity, Sandbox, Alien Worlds, Prospectors, Famers World, My Neighbor Alice, Chain of Alliance, Decentraland, and Illuvium

According to big video gaming companies, the metaverse is the future of video gaming, so it is expected to see more metaverse gamers coming out soon, especially with big video gaming companies jumping on the bandwagon. The rising popularity of metaverse games may turn many into gamers thanks to the more immersive gaming experiences that this technology presents.

Playing metaverse games means earning virtual coins as metaverse games usually utilize a play-to-earn concept, which is a concept already used in some games related to the Meta company. Metaverse games also create a more organic video gaming experience by utilizing Augmented and Virtual Reality technology, which once again adds to the overall gaming experience. The ability to trade in-game assets between different gaming worlds is also something video gamers are looking forward to.

The bottom line, when it comes to offering more immersive gaming experiences, metaverse technology is the future. Even though the whole metaverse concept is still in its infancy, big video gaming companies are already looking for different ways to utilize the emerging technology in the best way possible. All in all, metaverse could turn many of us into gamers, but time will tell.
