Little Golden Books are known for featuring some of the greatest personalities in their Biography series. They’ve featured people like Dolly Parton, Betty White, and a whole lot more. Getting her very own Little Golden Book is the iconic Lucille Ball. Young readers will be encouraged to dream big and persevere—just like Lucy!

Before she charmed viewers with her show, “I Love Lucy,” Lucille Ball was a precocious child from Jamestown, NY. She developed an interest in acting at a young age, performing in plays at her local theatre and eventually moving to New York City to pursue an acting career. After some initial setbacks, Lucy moved to Hollywood and began starring in movies. It was on the set of one of those movies that she met her future husband, Desi. Together they created a production company and starred in one of the most influential sitcoms in television history!

Written by fellow Jamestown, NY native Wendy Loggia with charming illustrations by Chin Ko, “Lucille Ball: A Little Golden Book” is the perfect way to introduce preschoolers to this iconic trailblazer.

This would make a great Christmas gift to teach the kids in your life about Lucy. “Lucille Ball: A Little Golden Book Biography” will be on sale starting September 13, 2022. You can pre-order the book on Amazon here.
