Actor John Cena is being celebrated by The Make-A-Wish Foundation for his contributions to the organization. Since doing his first wish for the foundation, Cena has granted over 650 wishes to critically ill children. According to Make-A-Wish and the WWE, this is the most wishes any celebrity has granted. Cena is also the most requested Make-A-Wish visit by children. The two organizations marked the occasion on social media, where they recognize efforts comforting children and their family.

The number is impressive, but it hardly seems to matter to Cena himself. In interviews, Cena maintains he does it simply because he knows how much it means to families. It can be emotionally taxing work to comfort children who are ill, but John Cena makes a point to go out of his way to do so. He also stays in touch with families, providing comfort and making sure they are doing ok.

Cena’s attention is not just limited to his young fans. Along with visiting sick children, he also provides support to veterans and first responders. Just recently, Cena visited a family of Ukrainian refugees who managed to escape the war torn region and into the Netherlands. One of the children, Misha, has Down’s syndrome and is non-verbal. To help comfort Misha during their escape, his mother told him they were going to visit John Cena. Cena heard about this while in Europe, and used his day off to visit Misha. The dedication to take one’s free time and put it toward comforting others is truly commendable. No matter the number of fans he touches, it is an incredible achievement.
