If you are a fan of Scooby-Doo and the gang, we’ve got some great news for you! Thanks to Matthew Lillard, you have the chance to stay overnight in the famous Mystery Machine van from the 2002 reboot of “Scooby-Doo!”

“Zoinks! It’s been 20 years since I played Shaggy (TM) in the first live-action ‘Scooby-Doo’ film by Warner Bros., but his spirit has been with me since,” Lillard says via the AirBnB listing says. “To celebrate, I’m throwing it back to 2002 with a totally groovy stay in the gang’s beloved Mystery Machine, monsters not included.”

The few lucky enough to get a night in the Mystery Machine, will be hit with a Y2K nostalgia overload. Because it includes a virtual greeting from Lillard where he teases, possibly sharing some fond memories of being Shaggy. The latest (2002) Sugar Ray album on a portable CD player. A lava lamp and Shaggy’s famous puka shell necklace. Not to mention the cutting edge TV DVD combo. As well as some mystery games to put guests’ crime solving skills to the test.

The van also includes an all you can eat menu of snacks and dinner with all of Shaggy and Scooby’s favorite foods, hot dogs and eggplant burgers. And If that isn’t enough food, there will also be a late night rewatch of the 2002 film with popcorn and Scooby Snacks. If the Mystery Machine gets too cramped, there is an outdoor lounge area. Complete with a hammock and a gorgeous view to vibe out to.

Bookings for the van will open at 1pm (EST) on Thursday, June 16th. It will only be available for three days June 24th-26th 2022. Bookings are limited to two guests per stay. In honor of the 20 anniversary of “Scooby Doo,” AirBnB has set the price at $20. So those 3 bookings will probably sell out in seconds.

The listing makes it very clear that this is not a contest. If you do snag one of these coveted spots you will be responsible for your own travel to and from Southern California.
