If you love Gunpla or Gundam building kits, you may get a kick out of this news. Tiny 1/144 size constructible Gundams are coming to a bath near you in Japan this summer from Bikkura Tamago (Surprise Egg). These are easy to build and require no tools since they are made for the bath.
These will be available starting in July, and cost around $11 USD. Not sure how importing will affect the price, but if you’re taking a trip to Japan, expect to spend about that much. Figures included in the bath bomb surprise eggs are Strike Gundam (Deactive Mode), mini Gunpla Mobile Goon (Sand Yellow) or Mobile Zono (Light Gray).
These things look awesome. They are contained in mini capsule type runner. Expanded they have three layers where you can take parts out of. Each part like a regular Gundam can be swiveled back and fourth to release. Since this is an entry grade set, you can make it in the bath without any tools. You’ll probably want a towel handy though to dry off your hands so that you can more easily pop the joints in.
