“Friends” Themed House Hits the Market in Dayton, Ohio

Did you *really* like the show “Friends?” Well, here is your chance to live in a replica of Monica and Rachel’s iconic New York apartment!

Current homeowner Rachel Gannon has painstakingly renovated this 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom home to look as close to the “Friends” gang hang out as possible. On the first floor, you will find Monica’s bedroom. The second floor has Rachel’s room. As well as a different version of Monica’s room, complete with Chandler’s race car bed! But it does look like they removed the plastic from the mattress, so try not to have any bad dreams.

This place has also been functioning as a short term AirBnB. The house’s website says it has one king bed, one full bed, one twin bed…  to accommodate an even 6. There is also an extra bed in the form of an air mattress available.

As cute as the friend’s apartment is, Gannon does warn guests about a few quirks. To stay authentic to the show, the tub is small. It “would not be comfortable for an adult to take a bath in, though a shower is fine.” Also, the refrigerator is small, “in order to replicate Monica’s retro fridge.” Remember Monica, Rachel, Ross, Phoebe, Chandler, and Joey were hanging out in a two bedroom apartment in New York. Not a 3 bedroom single family home in Dayton, OH.

But Gannon does try to use the added space in a way that is authentic to the characters. For example, despite the small fridge, the kitchen is much larger and better equipped than Monica’s. There is a smart TV in the living room which can seat everyone as comfortably as it did on the show. Not to mention it has easter eggs and references galore, including Hugsy, Joey’s bedtime penguin pal. The house is even called The One Where You Stay at Rachel & Monica’s.

Located at 1535 Barney Ave. Dayton, OH, the home is listed on Zillow for $162,000. This one probably won’t last long on the market so diehard fans may want to get bids in fast
