Crunchyroll reigns supreme as Funimation’s catalog continues to move over to the platform. Part of the new merge will include a lot more dubs being released on Crunchyroll. Previously, they only had a few each season, but Spring 2022 sees nearly 30! (Simuldub is when episodes are dubbed and released in English simultaneously with Japanese episodes.)
This will be a record for Crunchyroll as they move into hosting more content. And having them both dubbed and subbed is a great treat for those who like to watch it both ways, or prefer one over the other.
Crunchyroll’s Spring 2022 slate is the largest on record for the company and will complement its existing library of more than 40,000 episodes and 16,000 hours available to stream, which was recently expanded through the transition of Funimation’s exclusive catalog to the Crunchyroll platform. Funimation will continue to add new subbed and dubbed episodes of previously licensed series, but all new series, subbed and dubbed, can be found exclusively on Crunchyroll.
Crunchyroll’s lineup of dubbed anime for the Spring 2022 season includes:
