Special “The Walking Dead” The Sexton Whiskey to be Released

There’s nothing quite like a nice, stiff drink to pair with the ending of an epic show like “The Walking Dead.” As the long running AMC flagship show comes to an end, the channel has partnered with The Sexton Single Malt to release a limited edition celebratory bottle to commemorate the show’s end.

Cast member Ross Marquand, who plays Aaron on the show (and also played Stonekeeper Red Skull in “Avengers: Endgame”), is a whiskey aficionado, and will serve as the collaborative brand ambassador. The bottle features “The Walking Dead” imagery that wraps around the distinctive hexagon bottle design. A decaying silver label and a walker’s head in place of the trademark skeleton logo are wonderfully displayed.

Speaking of the new partnership, Marquand said “After visiting the Emerald Isle several years ago, I developed a deep appreciation for the country and special whiskey, like The Sexton Single Malt, that’s made there…As a long-standing cast member of this powerful franchise, I’m so excited to unite two personal passions of mine and introduce our loyal following to The Official Whiskey of The Walking Dead.”

The new collaborative bottle design will be available at liquor stores across the country starting in late February where ever Sexton is sold. It comes with a manageable price tag- you can pre-order a bottle starting today at ReserveBar. Sexton also promises that it will host a national sweepstakes program for “The Walking Dead” fans and whiskey-lovers alike, comprised of a number of interactive, fan-based experiences.

For more details, you can follow Sexton and Marquand on social media for updates.

As a whiskey lover who has had the pleasure of visiting the Scotch Whiskey Tour in Edinburgh, Scotland, Sexton is an absolute delight and an exceedingly delicious taste for such an affordable price. It is one of my favorites on the market, and even though I haven’t watched “The Walking Dead” in years, I’m absolutely looking forward to this collaborative release.

Season 11 premiered on August 22nd, 2021. The series finale of “The Walking Dead” will air on March 27th, 2022.

Now, who wants to buy me a bottle? Bottoms up!
