Sundance Film Festival Favorite Horror “Fresh” Gets New Trailer

The midnight section of the Sundance Film Festival often sports some of the most talked about films from the event. It may not get a ton of awards at the festival’s conclusion, but viewers often have a lot to say about them, and “Fresh” is no exception. Luckily for the rest of us, the new horror film not only gets a fresh (pun intended) new trailer, but a release date on Hulu as well.

Daisy Edgar Jones in “Fresh,” Searchlight Pictures

The film stars Daisy Edgar Jones and Sebastian Stan (as you’ve never seen him before and that includes his run as Tommy Lee in “Pam & Tommy“) as Noa and Steve, a new couple who’s budding relationship takes a turn for the macabre when Steve’s unusual appetites become more and more terrifying. Those who have viewed the film have been very adamant about going into it with as little knowledge as possible.

So, if you’re really looking to be shocked, you may want to skip the trailer to steer clear of any possible revelations. “Fresh” is written by Lauryn Kahn (“Ibiza“), and produced by Adam McKay.

The film received favorable reviews from Sundance critics, and the rights were purchased by Searchlight Pictures ahead of its premiere. I still can’t get over the fact that Disney is now the proud of owner of two out of this world performances from Stan; one where he talks to his sentient genitals, and one where he has a hankering for…forbidden tastes.

Hulu truly allows for a wider array of darker and more adult content, and I’m all here for it.

“Fresh” will begin streaming March 4th on Hulu. You can watch the trailer below.
