    Gambling has been part of human culture for as long as history has been recorded. Today, the various governments around the world seem to be moving towards more open availability of gambling. It’s no surprise that gambling is popular among celebrities. Most of them live a life of luxury that can seem unattainable for the average person. They buy expensive items such as cars and mansions and they also gamble. With money and fame come endless materialistic desires, and celebrities are no exception.

    Kerry Packer, the owner of the famous Crown Casino group in Australia was a media tycoon. In the late twentieth century, he was considered one of the most powerful media proprietors. He gambled different types of stakes that were enough to trigger the adrenal glands of even the most popular players in the industry. When he used to lay down the bets, people knew he would most likely win the game. The Crown Casino attracted many of the rich and famous. Jason Dunstall, a well-known Aussie Rules Footballer, was a known visitor to Kerry Packer’s Crown Casino. What’s more, Kerry Packer organized the Vodka Cruiser Charity challenge to support kids with Cancer, showing that he had a heart of gold.

    1. Tobey Maguire

    Tobey Maguire, a celebrity popular for his incredible performance in the Spider-Man movie, also loves to gamble. In 2004, he lost a game against renowned actor Ben Affleck, but his skills in Omaha and Texas Hold’em were remarkable. Tobey Maguire is one of the most famous celebrities that love to gamble to win money. Believe it or not, he has even won a Hollywood Park Casino tournament. What’s more, he won more than 300 thousand dollars playing poker in 2011. The win was so big that some people accused him of fraud.

    Pamela Anderson is another celebrity who also loves gambling. She became a viral sensation when people learned that she used all of her gambling winnings to get breast implants. Pamela encountered numerous controversies due to her love of gambling. She is a former Baywatch actress and married to a professional poker player, Rick Salomon. Surprisingly, her marriage took place after she lost a game against him.  Pamela loves poker more than any other casino game. In 2012, she launched BamPoker, a Facebook App that includes a wide range of thrilling poker games.
