If Kanye West– oh, excuse us, Ye– isn’t making headlines, is it even a day that ends in Y? That’s where we find ourselves today, as the rapper once again is in the news. This time though, it’s for a more serious reason than normal. Yes, he was just announced as one of the headliners for Coachella 2022, but this isn’t for that.
According to local outlets (and TMZ), West is named in an alleged criminal battery case. In the wee hours of Thursday January 13th, around 3am ish, West allegedly ‘pushed’ someone in DTLA. This was apparently around SoHo Warehouse, so perhaps Ye had been there earlier in the evening.
Reports indicate the person pushed was a “fan seeking an autograph,” and things got physical on the part of West.
If found guilty of misdemeanor battery (what sources say this is currently being investigated as), West could be looking at a maximum jail sentence of 6 months.
We’ll let you what else we hear about this and other news.
