Another year, another slew of in-person events getting cancelled. Originally scheduled for June at the Los Angeles Convention Center, this will mark the third year for E3 not happening in person.
In a statement to VentureBeat, the Entertainment Software Association cited the ongoing Covid-19 health risks as the reason for the move.
“Due to the ongoing health risks surrounding COVID-19 and its potential impact on the safety of exhibitors and attendees, E3 will not be held in person in 2022. We are nonetheless excited about the future of E3 and look forward to announcing more details soon,” the statement reads.
E3’s website has yet to be updated.
