Even if you’ve been using Apple AirPods for a while, you may never have clicked the button given on the back of the case. Despite this, the button may be incredibly helpful when it comes to device compatibility concerns. That’s in addition to addressing any difficulties that may arise with the AirPods device. If you have been pondering what is the button on airpods for then you are at the right place. Here’s all you want to know about the AirPods’ mystery button on the rear.

A real wireless listening experience can only be provided by Apple’s earbuds, and this is especially true for individuals who are already involved in Apple’s ecosystem. As an iPhone user, you have the advantage of seamless connection between the two devices when you purchase AirPods. Improved device integration may be evident in a variety of ways; connecting the devices, for example, is a simple process that involves holding the AirPods near to the phone and then following the on-screen instruction.

AirPods can be connected to Android and Windows devices, but the process isn’t as rapid or simple. In this situation, the case’s button is really useful. By pressing the button while the earphones are still in their case, the AirPods enter pairing mode, enabling them to be used with devices other than Apple’s. The button on the rear of the case isn’t necessary if the AirPods are only going to be used with Apple devices.

You Can Reset Your AirPods With the Button

Resetting the earbuds may also be done by pressing the button on the earphones. It is a good idea to restart the AirPods if you are experiencing difficulties with the sound, performance, or dependability of the connection. If you want to re-establish a connection with your AirPods after disconnecting them from your iPhone, you’ll need a means to tell them to do so. It’s possible to detach and reset AirPods by pressing and holding the button on their case’s rear while they are in the case.

When it comes to connecting AirPods to non-Apple devices, the button is likely to stay unused until there is a need to repair any sound, performance, or connection concerns. The button on the back of the AirPods may be useful, but only if the user is aware of it before they need to use it.

What is the Function of  the Button?

Here is the answer to your question “what is the button on airpods for”. There is no pairing button on the AirPods, but the charging case has one. Plug up your AirPods and then check on the back of your charging case for a round, white button that is barely visible.

Simply press and hold the AirPods charging case button to begin syncing. After that, go over to your Android device’s Bluetooth settings to connect your wire-free earphones. Follow this tutorial to pair your AirPods with a Windows computer.

Touch on the I symbol next to your AirPods and then tap on Forget This Device and Confirm under the Bluetooth section of your phone. Press and hold down the button (Setup button) on the back of your AirPods Pro case for around 15 seconds, until the status light flashes amber, and then release.

Apple’s AirPods Max debuted last week, and many were taken aback by the Smart Case that came along with them, in addition to the $549 price tag. Typically, high-end headphones come with a protective case that protects them from knocks and scratches while making them simple to transport. But the Smart Case that comes packaged with AirPods Max is of little help in this regard and has a weird appearance.

To turn the status light amber, press and hold the button for around 15 seconds with the lid open. Reconnect your AirPods. Place your AirPods near your smartphone when the lid is open.

    How to Spot Fake AirPods

Check out the 360-degree AirPod animations on the Apple site and see whether they match the AirPods you’re interested in purchasing. If you notice any flaws, such as extra vents or misaligned holes, you’re looking at a phony set.

Any color other than white and status lights or buttons on the AirPods themselves indicate a knock-off.

Look at the stems at the bottom of the AirPods to see whether they’re genuine or phony. The Oval grill on the real AirPods is different from the circular grille on most knockoffs.

Real AirPods Pro do not feature a grill, however many fakes still have one.
