Why You Should Choose Razer Gaming Laptops

The Razer Blade 17 is a gaming laptop built with speed and power in mind. With an 8th-Gen Core i7 “Coffee Lake” processor, up to 32 GB of DDR4 memory, and GeForce GTX 10 Series graphics, the Blade promises plenty of firepower for high-end play at a reasonable price point.

    Design characteristics

The two aspects that most prominently define the Razer Blade 17 are its super-slim bezels and the VaporMg chassis. The 3mm-thin bezels on either side of the screen allow for a compact footprint despite the larger 17.3″ display size, allowing you to fit more onto your screen without having to sacrifice how much room you have available on your desk or in your bag. The chassis is composed of a unibody CNC aluminum exterior and a magnesium-alloy internal frame, which makes the Blade both strong and lightweight (under 8 pounds). Ports and connectivity

The Razer Blade 17 weighs in at less than 0.95″ thin, but with an expansive 17.3″ display with super-slim bezels on either side, it packs plenty of power into that small package. While the base model includes black keys, customizable Chroma lighting (with 16.8 million color options) can be added via the Razer Core X for more flair.

Specs at a glance: OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit

Display: 17.3″ Full HD (1920×1080) matte display with super-slim bezels

Processor: 8th Gen Core i7 “Coffee Lake” processor

Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB GDDR5 VRAM

    Memory: Up to 32 GB dual-channel DDR4

Ports include (from left to right): Kensington security slot, Thunderbolt 3 port, two USB Type-A ports (one with PowerShare), and the headphone/microphone combo jack. Battery life is pretty impressive given how much power it packs, averaging 6 hours of use between charges.

    What are its standout features?

The Razer Blade 17’s most prominent selling point is its small footprint and high power. With up to an 8th-Gen Core i7 “Coffee Lake” processor, GeForce GTX 1060 graphics, 32 GB of DDR4 memory, and a super-slim bezel design with a 17.3″ display, the Blade is capable of supporting virtually any current game at maximum settings on its 1080p display. The unibody CNC aluminum chassis makes it strong and lightweight (about 0.95 inches thin), while its operating temperature stays cool enough that you won’t need to worry about it overheating during longer gaming sessions.

Specs aside, what really makes the Razer Blade stand out is its Chroma customizable lighting system, which can be added via the Razer Core X peripheral for even more flair. Chroma allows you to select from 16.8 million color options and assign different colors to individual keys, with a full spectrum of hues represented by the keyboard’s rainbow motif. This means your next gaming session can boast not only superior technology but also an awesome show of style.

What are its flaws? Razer Blade 17 is a fully-featured laptop at a reasonable price point, but it isn’t perfect by any stretch. While battery life has improved over previous models, it’s still modest—you can expect around six hours of use between charges and the base model includes black keys rather than customizable Chroma lighting for those that want to add their own pizzazz via the Razer Core X peripheral. The machine also has a tendency to run hot, particularly during longer gaming sessions; you’ll want to keep it on a surface that’s heat resistant and away from your lap.

The Razer Blade 17 is an excellent laptop for those looking for high-end performance in a compact chassis. With its slim bezel design, the Blade comes with a large screen without having to sacrifice how much room it takes up on your desk or table. The specs are top-notch as well, with options ranging from an 8th Gen Core i7 “Coffee Lake” processor all the way up to 32 GB of DDR4 memory and GeForce GTX 1060 graphics. The machine can handle any current game at maximum settings on its 1080p display, and if you want to add your own personal flair, Chroma customizable lighting is available via the Razer Core X peripheral.
