Games You Should Consider Playing If You Liked Haunting Ground

Japanese horror games are in a category all of their own. Starting with the original Silent Hill games, they have proven time and again that horror is a genre that is near and dear to them, and it is something they know how to do right. That is a point they proved with Haunting Ground in 2005. It is a game that is sixteen years old and came out for the then-new PS2, and is still popular today among fans of the genre.

If you happen to be one of the original fans of the game who has been waiting for a worthy title to help you relive the thrill and energy only a good horror game has, then this article by Péter Deli will tell you more about a few viable alternatives to sink your teeth into. Alternatively, you can find all the fun your heart desires at https://kaszinok.online/ – home of the best online casino in Hungary.

    Amnesia: The Dark Descent

    Fictional Games

A classic among horror fans, the Amnesia series of games has been popular for many years. The Dark Descent, in particular, has been regarded as a milestone not only in horror gaming but also in the world of games in general. You play Daniel, who finds himself lost in a castle without a clue as to where he is or how he got there.

You tackle everything ghoulish from a first-person perspective, with nothing but your decision-making skills, quick judgment, and creativity. You will find a lot of items to interact with, which will help you on your journey as you explore the castle and find a way to get out. Survival horror rarely gets any better than this.

    Five Nights at Freddy’s

    Scott Cawthorn/Steel Wool Games INC

This is another legendary thrill ride. The entire game takes place in a pizza place named Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, and your main objective is to stay alive through an unending onslaught of malfunctioning animatronic animals. While you cannot leave the security room, you can observe the animals through the cameras and attempt to trap them.

If you manage to do this by the time your shift ends at six in the morning, you will be rewarded with items. If you can do this five nights straight, then you will have beaten the game. Hence, the name. Keep your wits about you, and you are bound to come out on top!

    Sophie’s Curse

    TrerPlay

Imagine the following: you are a nurse who has gotten a job taking care of a patient in-house for a single night. The house is old and does not have an electricity connection. Instead, there are four devices that supply power to the whole building. While usually stable, there is something in the house that destabilizes them – something lurking in the night, in the dark, and you’re trapped with it. To win the game, you have to survive the night. If being chilled to the bone counts as one of your hobbies, picking up Sophie’s Curse is an absolute must.

    Yomawari: Night Alone

Nippon Ichi Software, NIS America, Sega

Another Japanese title, Yomawari, is horrifying. The game starts off with you playing a young girl walking your dog out in the town. You survive an accident on the road but find that your dog, Poro, is nowhere in sight. You rush back home and tell your older sister what has happened. She volunteers to go out and look for the dog, but after she doesn’t return for a while, you take it upon yourself to go out.

And that is when the horror begins. You find that the town has changed. With monsters prowling the streets, you are armed with a flashlight to keep the darkness at bay.

    Everyday The Same Dream

    Paolo Pedercini

Horror survives by taking agency away from the player, and this game does this masterfully. You play a character who goes through the daily grind over and over again. Same thing, rinse and repeat. Until suddenly, things start to change. As your character tucks in for the night and starts to dream, the game picks back up from the very place where it began – but this time, things are different.

The game was designed to be played on a browser, so you can play it with WASD and the space bar. With such minimalistic controls and such a compelling storyline, this game is bound to keep you glued to your seat for hours.

    Conclusion

An online casino, English or otherwise, while providing you with thrills galore, will not give you a proper horror experience. The games we have listed here will deliver on that front every time. If you feel the need to chill your bones and risk nightmares, then be sure to pick up these titles!
