    The Woman in the Window (2021)

    The woman in the window is an American Psychological thriller film which was directed by Joe Wright and was based on a 2018 novel bearing the same name by author A.J Finn. The storyline of the film features an agoraphobic lady named Amy Adams who started spying on her neighbors. Her neighbors were  Gary Oldman, Fred Hechinger, and Julianne Moore.

    The film was produced by Fox 2000 Pictures, it was originally scheduled to be released on 20th Century Fox in October, though it was delayed due to re-editing as a result of poor screenings. The release was again canceled after the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic, thus, later it was sold to Netflix and fortunately was released on May 14, 2021.

    The old Guard is also another most watched movie that streams on Netflix. It is an American powerful film that was directed by Gina Prince- Bythewood and was written by Greg Rucka, where the storyline is based on the novel he wrote by a similar name. The film features actors such as Luca Marinelli, Harry Melling, Van Veronica, Matthias Schoenaerts, kiki Layne, Theron, and chiwetel Ejiwetel. The movie streamed for the first time on Netflix on July 10th of 2020. 

    The Old Guard - Netflix

    The old guard movie received positive reviews from critics as well as praises for perfect action sequences and performance. The plot of the film is about a group of immortal mercenaries who are on the mission to undertake revenge, luckily the sequel of the movie is underway.

    Fatherhood-74 million views

    Fatherhood is a comic drama from America which was released in 2021. Fatherhood was directed by Paul Weitz and based on a 2011 memoir named Two kisses for Maddy; a novel written by Matthew Logelin bearing the title, ‘A Memoir of Loss and Love.’ The movie stars famous actors like Dewanda Wise, Anthony Carrigan, Lil Rel Howery, Alfre Woodard, Kevin Hart, Paul Reiser, more. The film follows a young new father who tries to raise his son after his wife died.

    The original release of the movie was done by Sony Pictures, however, it was sold to Netflix due to the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic and luckily was released on June 18, 2021. The fatherhood movie received both positive and negative reviews from critics.

    (tied) ‘Murder Mystery’ 83 million views

    Murder Mystery is another super-powerful American film streaming on Netflix and was released in 2019. The film was written and directed by James Vanderbilt and Kyle Newacheck respectively. Some of the actors who starred in the movie include; Jennifer Aniston, Luke Evans, and Adam Sandler. The plot of the film features married partners who are caught up in an investigation involving the murder of a billionaire’s yacht. The show got both positive and negative reviews from critics.

    Spenser Confidential-85 million views

    It is an American action-comedy movie directed by Sean O’keefe in the company of Brian Helgeland. The film stars actors like Post Malone, Marc Maron, Donald Cerrone, Bokeem Woodbine, Iliza Shlesinger, Winston Duke, and Mark Wahlberg.  The plot of the story follows a storyline written by Author Ace Atkins by the title, ‘Wonderland’ was streamed on Netflix on March 6th, 2020, where it received mixed reactions from the fans.

    Bird Box- 89 million views

    Birdbox is an American post-apocalyptic horror thriller movie too. The movie was directed by Susanne Bier, and later its screenplay was written by Eric Heisserer. The horror movie featured a novel entitled,’ Bird Box. Which was authored by Josh Malerman.

    The movie stars characters like Trevante Rhodes, John Malkovich, Danielle Macdonald, Sarah Paulson, and Sandra Bullock. The storyline of the movie featured Sandra Bullock who was trying to safeguard herself and the other two kids from entities that make people look at them to try to commit suicide. The film premiered on Netflix for the first time on December 21, 2018, though it had premiered at the AFI Fest on November 12, 2018.
