Best PC Games You Can Play Right Now

With the proliferation of smartphone technology and gaming consoles, we sometimes forget that 52% of active gamers still play their games on PCs. This technology, and its use for gaming, is alive and well, and not going anywhere for at least some time.

That being said, here are some of the best games you can play on your PC right now.

    The Long Dark

The Long Dark is a survival game in which you assume the character of a crash-landed pilot, who is trying to survive in the snowy wilderness, after a geomagnetic storm. The game was produced by Hinterland Studio, and its alpha version was released in September 2014. The game sold millions of copies, and its Steam base gave it a 99.78% approval rating.

In this game, like in many survival games, you will stress about things that we take for granted in our daily life: staying warm, having enough firewood, taking enough calories, having medicine available, not getting food poisoning, etc.

While trying to survive, you can explore different snow-covered areas and search for wildlife to hunt or items that you can use as tools. Tools that you make will decay with time, and you have to carefully maintain them. While walking around, you have to always keep in mind the condition of your body and the resources available to you.

Playing a game like this can be very relaxing, it can make you focus on the basics, and get a new perspective on the things you stress about. And if you like snow, this is definitely a game for you.

    Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 is an action-adventure game, set in an open world, and published by Rockstar Games in 2018.

In the game, you are an outlaw named Arthur Morgan. It’s 1899 and Arthur is a member of the Van der Linde gang, coming to terms with the decline of the Old West. Your goal is to survive in harsh environments of the Western, Midwestern, and Southern United States, and deal with the attacks of rival gangs and government forces.

The open world of the game is incredibly detailed and diverse. You can explore everything from dusty plains and snowy mountains, through swamp waters and frozen lakes, to unwelcoming or welcoming towns – depending on your previous behavior. Throughout the game, you are given different missions to complete, but on the other hand, you are mostly free to explore the world and live your life as an outlaw.

The game is an incredible success, winning many awards and universal acclaim, and being one of the best-selling games of all time. It is considered an example of a true form of art in the video game world.

    Casino Games

Casino Games, like all other forms of games, went through incredible advancements in recent years. There are more of them than ever, and they are available on all possible platforms, from PC to smartphones.

On the other hand, they are also more diverse than ever before. Everything from slot machine games of all possible kinds and themes, to live dealer casino games, is now instantly available to you – both on mobile and desktop devices. With so many options, the only problem is that you can get a bit lost in them, from time to time. Luckily, some websites can help you choose the best options for you. For example, see the best games available in New Zealand – the choices aplenty, and their design and graphics went from the basic to really HQ new level solutions.

    Hitman 2

Hitman 2 is a 2018 stealth video game, produced by IO Interactive. As in the previous installment of the series, you are Agent 47, a genetically engineered assassin. The mysterious “Shadow Client” and his allies are trying to destroy Providence – the secret organization controlling the world, and your mission is to hunt them down. At first at least: the game also involves a plot twist and an interesting change of allegiance.

The Game consists of eight different missions, all set in various locations. One of them is set on Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand. In this particular mission, you have to eliminate Alma Reynard, a top lieutenant of the Shadow Client.

Hitman 2 got very good reviews and debuted at the tenth place in UK sales charts, while in Japan it was in the fifth best-selling game of the week.

PC gaming has been with us for a very long time, and it is here to stay. All of the best games produced today are available on PC, and when you are finished working, you should use your machine for some fun. Gaming can be an incredible stress reliever, especially in times of social isolation.

With online options available to us, gaming is also a very social activity, and an option for spending time with old friends, or meeting new ones.
