Today officially marks the first day of summer, and that means it’s blockbuster season. Usually a normal summer would be jam-packed with movie releases, especially ones with tons of action and possible major dollars expected to roll in. 2021 will be different for film enthusiasts, but as theaters slowly reopen and more and more people are getting vaccinated, it’s safer to return to the cinema.
This morning, a brand new trailer for “Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins” hit, and we’re pretty excited about the idea of seeing it in a real theater. You can see the first trailer here.
The official synopsis reads:
Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins stars Henry Golding as Snake Eyes, a tenacious loner who is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him.
Directed by Robert Schwentke, “Snake Eyes” stars Henry Golding as the title character, Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow, Úrsula Corberó as Baroness, Samara Weaving as Scarlett, Haruka Abe as Akiko, Tahehiro Hira as Kenta and Iko Uwais as Hard Master.
“Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins” hits theaters on July 23rd, 2021.
