Hot on the heels of the “Batman: Caped Crusader” news this morning, another massive DC Comics animated property is coming to HBO Max. A brand new Man of Steel animated series is also on the way, “My Adventures with Superman.”

Jack Quaid (“The Boys“) will voice mild mannered reporter Clark Kent, as well as his glasses-less Kryptonian counterpart, Kal-El aka Superman.

THR says he series is described as a kids-and-family animated series following 20-something versions of Superman, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen “as they begin to discover who they are and everything they can accomplish together as an investigative reporting team at the Daily Planet.”

Warner Bros. Animation President Sam Register said of the project:

“This is the first animated Superman series in many years and we want to tell our Superman story through the trio of Clark, Lois and Jimmy – whose relationship dynamic will allow for rich, serialized and engaging stories as we explore their lives as individuals and their journey together as friends.”

There was even a tease of the artwork included with his morning’s report:

If you missed the earlier news today about “Batman: Caped Crusader” coming from Matt Reeves, Bruce Timm, and JJ Abrams, catch up here.

So far, no further information was released about “My Adventures with Superman.” But, as always, we’ll do our best to keep you updated with any news.

“Superman: The Animated Series“ is currently streaming on HBO Max.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
