You might read that headline and say “well duh”. But there’s more to just getting a little tipsy on Cinco De Mayo this year. Jose Cuervo is teaming up with rapper J-Kwon to encourage people to get tipsy in a different kind of way. They want you to tip your delivery driver at least 20% of your total bill!

The past year has been challenging for all of us, but for America’s delivery drivers, it’s been especially tough.  With many Americans ordering food to enjoy safely at home, the top four U.S. food-delivery apps saw revenue rise $3 billion in the second half of 2020 alone.

J-Kwon, known for his 2004 hit song “Tipsy” wants you to join in and get #tipsyforcinco. If you enter the contest you could even get your whole bill paid for by Jose Cuervo!

    Jose Cuervo Press Release

    Here’s how it works:

    • Order your favorite Cinco de Mayo feast for delivery between 4/27 & 5/31
    • Tweet a photo of your receipt that includes your tip of 20% or more with the hashtag #TipsyForCinco between 4/27 – 5/9
    • The contest continues from 5/10 – 5/31 where fans can upload receipts to cuervo.com/tipsyforcinco
    • Thousands of winners will be randomly selected and reimbursed via Venmo by Cuervo

That’s not all – leading up to the holiday, J-Kwon will be getting #TipsyForCinco by ordering Mexican food from all around his hometown of St. Louis and tipping big on each delivery. Mr. Tipsy wants e’rybody in the country to get tipsy, so fans are encouraged to check out @jkwon_duh_don on Instagram and follow Cuervo social channels for more.
