We are so absolutely delighted to share this “Star Trek” news with you on this glorious First Contact Day! Paramount+ released an all new teaser for the upcoming second season of “Star Trek: Picard,” and it’s awesome. Specifically, the return of one of the most notable adversaries of Captain Jean Luc Picard and crew- the omnipitant Q played by John de Lancie.
“Q’s arrival is, as it often was, unexpected,” Sir Patrick Steward says. “It also comes in a shattering moment in an episode, and I do mean a shattering moment. There is significant trauma. There are events coming up in season two that have never been seen before.”
“Finally! I’m totally delighted and I’m really looking forward to it and I’m more than ready. I’ve aged a little bit to be more in keeping with where we are right now. I’m here to make your life as annoying as possible. He is deliciously naughty and terribly self involved, so as my wife says, it’s not much of a stretch,” de Lancie offered.
Check out the first teaser for season 2 of “Star Trek: Picard,” exclusively streaming on Paramount+. The series is expected to return sometime in 2022.
