Want a relaxing thing to watch while you’re doing your work online? Well Big Bear’s Bald Eagle Cam would be a great option and you may even get to see baby hatchlings come out of their eggs!
Located at Big Bear Lake, this nest is about 145 feet up in a Jeffrey Pine tree. The nest is the current home for Jackie and Shadow, a local bald eagle pair.
What is happening in the nest? Well Jackie and Shadow the adult eagles have had their second clutch! The first egg was laid on February 8th and the second was laid on February 11th. Currently we’ve been on pip watch since March 15th but it could be any day now that the babies grace us with their presence.
Jackie, the female always incubates overnight, Shadow, the male sleeps in nearby roost trees.
