New “Godzilla vs. Kong” Poster, Plot Points Revealed

New information on the drama unfolding around the eagerly anticipated bust up between titans has been unveiled, along with a fantastic new “Godzilla vs. Kong” international poster.

Featuring the titular combatants engaged in a viscous melee submerged beneath the waves, the new Chinese language poster continues to promise a film of visceral action, with the two monsters kicking seven shades out of each other every chance they get. The image could even be a reference to the final moments of the original 1962 “King Kong vs Godzilla,” wherein the pair tumble into the ocean and land the last blows of their climactic battle beneath the waves.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a kaiju film without the element of human drama unfolding beneath the feet of the battling monsters, and new information has unfolded regarding events transpiring at ground level. Millie Bobby Brown, reprising her role as the intrepid young Madison Russel, is continuing her search for the truth by investigating the suspicious actions of an international super-conglomerate business known as Apex. In the style of real world company like Amazon, Tesla, or Apple, Apex wields gargantuan power on a global scale, and uses advanced technology to one-up both the competition and the rest of the world. Could this be the inevitable looming arch-villain that menaces both the monster heroes? We’ve already seen glimpses of the mechanical horror MechaGodzilla in previous trailers, so the villainous i-Kaiju rising from the technological company Apex seems a likely bet.

All will be revealed when “Godzilla vs Kong” is released on March 31st, 2021.
