First and foremost, if you HAVE NOT WATCHED “The Mandalorian” season 2 finale yet, you REALLY, really, need to. Especially if you’re going to continue to read this particular piece, because we’re going to share what Mark Hamill had to say about it.

    Seriously. Spoiler Warning.

Still here? Even with that spoiler warning?

    Ok then….

If you’ll recall, in the season 2 finale of “The Mandalorian,” a surprise “Star Wars” hero returns with a green lightsaber.

The addition of Luke Skywalker, played once again by Mark Hamill (but with a highly divisive CGI skin over the face), caused fans to collectively lose their s**t across the galaxy.

This morning, Hamill took to his Twitter to finally address the reactions, and to thank fans.

    #NoWords-Seeing fan's reactions to Luke's return is something I will cherish forever. Their anticipation seeing the X-Wing/Ep. 6 Robes/a lightsaber/a GREEN lightsaber/a gloved hand/an ungloved hand/a Force choke/R2-was OVERWHELMING & very moving to me-1/2 https://t.co/gzKn9IVPf6

I'm a fan myself, so I knew true fans would love it, but to see them thrilled beyond belief with the exuberance of children, whooping it up, screaming in ecstasy, the tears of sheer joy…it's a rollercoaster of emotions I'll never forget. #I_LOVE_UPFs 2/2 https://t.co/NogCFE5rqL

“The Mandalorian” seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream on Disney+.

Mary Anne Butler (Mab) has been part of the fast-paced world of journalism since she was 15, getting her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine. She eventually transitioned to online media, writing for such sites as UGO/IGN, ComicsOnline, Geek Magazine, Ace of Geeks, Aggressive Comix (where she is still Editor-in-Chief), Bleeding Cool (where she was News Editor), and now Nerdbot as Editor-In-Chief. Over the past 10 years, she’s built a reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band with an international presence. Though she be but little, she is fierce.
