“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” Celebrates 30 Years with Limited Theatrical Return

The classic “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” movie celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, and is set to return to theaters. It will have a special 3 day limited release to theaters nationwide through Fathom Events.

The heroes in a halfshell hitting the big screen seems like exactly the kind of nostalgia the world needs right now. For fans of TMNT, an injection of turtle power certainly sparks joy.

Obviously, this celebratory release comes with a grain of salt, as most theaters across the country are closed due to the pandemic. Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael coming back to the big screen may not be enough to tempt people back to the theaters that are open, but given the excitement and attendance for the 30th virtual pizza party earlier this year, it just might be enough.

The screening is set to take place on November 5th-7th. With so few theaters available, its probably best to check with Fathom Events to see if it’s even an option in your area. If you can celebrate safely, now may be the perfect time to cowabunga, dude!
