Shoe Inspired by Jolly Rancher from New Balance

As Spike Lee says in the famous 1989 Nike campaign, “It’s gotta be the shoes!” No stranger to NBA sneaker creation, New Balance has teamed up with Clipper’s player Kawhi Leonard on a new shoe line inspired by his love for jolly ranchers candy. What we get is a bright and colorful shoe, built for athletes and sneaker heads alike.

You can read the description of the new 4-shoe line by New Balance below:

“Designed with two-time NBA Champion and NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard, the WBKLSV1 (is) the shoe worn on gameday by the maestro himself. Designed for positionless play, this — basketball shoe boasts a durable synthetic upper and performance-ready outsole designed to hold up to your independent style of play. Ideal for wearing both on and off the court, this signature shoe lets you play the game your way.”

The new line includes the bright, vibrant rainbow color, as well as a solid bright blue (men’s only) and a white and green version, all with Jolly Rancher logos on them. No matter which one you decide to go with, you’ll be sure to stand out with them on your feet. Be warned, though. The shoes are not cheap, retailing at Journeys with a starting price of $160.

I’m not one to spend an exorbitant amount on shoes, but if I were, I’m partial to most gaudy. I enjoy shoes that can be seen before I am.
