Babies, while not for everyone, are definitely what keeps my universe spinning. With my first child, I had to deliver early due to preeclampsia. The NICU staff was amazing, and made me feel so comfortable having to leave my first born there for about a month. Going home without a child is devastating, but since the staff was so wonderful, I was able to call and they would send me texts and pictures when I couldn’t make it to the hospital. We visited almost everyday.
NICU staff all over are amazing, and one hospital this year decided to dress up some of the babies in Halloween costumes, which is a very nice gesture. Especially since the parents who have children in the hospital probably don’t have the time or the wits about them to think of dressing their baby for their first Halloween. And I say this because believe me- it’s really hard dealing with recovery and having to go back and fourth everyday to nurse and visit your baby. Some things you just don’t think about.
Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare shared the images on Facebook of their little ones all dressed up. My favorite has to be the skunk because I feel like there’s a stinky little story behind that one. You can also see ones of the kids dressed as candy bars, Dr. Seuss characters, fruits, flowers and so many more.
