There is exciting news for Heroes of the Storm players as a new hero is added to the roster, Mei from Overwatch. Heroes is a MOBA created by Blizzard which consists of a roster of heroes from mainly other Blizzard games.

Previously, there were 8 Overwatch heroes and Mei is the ninth to join. Unlike her DPS role in Overwatch, her role in Heroes of the Storm will be a tank.

    Mei’s Abilities are as follows:

    Trait

    [D]: Cryo-Freeze

Mei is encased in ice that has a rapidly decaying Shield that absorbs up to 1104 damage. While she is in the ice she is granted Unstoppable and health restores at 35% at max. The cooldown is 40 seconds.

    Snow Blind [Q]

Snowball is thrown hitting all enemies in the area. This does 70 damage and enemies are slowed by 35% and blinded for 1.5 seconds. The cooldown is 10 seconds and costs 35 mana.

    Blizzard [W]

Mei commands Snowball to create a blizzard in target location for 2 seconds. Enemies health depletes by 13 damage every .25 seconds and slowed by 7%, stacking to 35%. When the blizzard ends the enemies in the area take an additional 75 damage and are stunned for 1.25 seconds. The cooldown is 14 seconds and it costs 70 mana.

    Icing [E]

Mei slides into target direction at a fast pace and enemies near are knocked back taking 52 damage and are slowed by 80%. The cooldown is 14 seconds and costs 70 mana.

    Heroic Abilities

    Avalanche [R1]

After .5 seconds, a snowball consumes enemies in its path. At the end of the path, the snowball releases enemies and deals 220 damage and stuns for .5 per enemy. The cooldown is 65 seconds and costs 70 mana.

    Ice Wall [R2]

After a .75 second, a wall is created, and enemies are trapped for 2.5 seconds. After the wall comes down the enemies are slowed by 75 seconds decaying over 3 seconds. The cooldown is 90 seconds and it costs 60 mana.

These abilities can be built up as the game advances with Talents.

As Blizzard always does when a hero comes from another title, Mei will have a set of new skins in Heroes of the Storm and her ones from Overwatch will not join her. Mei is set to l be released alongside Heroes of the Storm’s Nexomania event, which brings a luchador wrestling-themed challenges and rewards to the game.
