    These Teabags Look Like Real Sea Creatures While Steeping!

    A company called Ocean Teabag has come out with some cool animal inspired bags that come to life while seeping. The ones I’m talking about in particular are the squid and the octopus which really feel like they’re living inside your cup. They also make other ones shaped like cats and sloths- but if you’re looking to freak out your friends while you serve tea, I would go with these.

    These each sell for ¥ 1,820 or roughly $17.01.

    On the site they say(rough translation):

    “The tea bag is made from octopus and squid that are very familiar to Japanese people. Two tags are attached to squid. This is because we respect squid living in a flock. Please note that even though there are two tags the usage will not change. Squid is pure tea that produces black tea like squid. Aged mochicha is crushed and used, so it is cleaner than ordinary Pu’er tea and has a sweet aroma of fruit-like aroma.

    Octopus is a lush kimmon tea. It is a famous Chinese tea alongside Darjeeling and Assam. The taste is very soft and has a taste that everyone can enjoy.”

    This tea is really cool and would make a great treat for guests at you next get together. Maybe during an anime watch party or your next New Year’s celebration.
