Actor and owner of Trejo’s Tacos, Danny Trejo is giving back to the community during this pandemic.

Wednesday Trejo arrived at USC Verdugo Hills Hospital in L.A. just before lunchtime, and supplied hundreds of bowls of food to health care workers. Workers who are there on the frontline to help treat patients who are fighting the coronavirus and other illnesses.

There are several locations of Trejo’s Tacos across L.A. County. The west-side location stepped up and prepped bowls filled with chicken, steak asada, carnitas, and brisket. Trejo posted a 10-minute video of him and his staff handing out these bowls.

Right now I’m at Verdugo Hills Hospital, sitting with the real angels of Los Angeles. We can do our part with some food, but really, they’re the ones [who] are saving lives

Trejo also teamed up with Good Morning America to provide free meals to health care workers at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Moreover, Trejo is always out to help the community! Back in August, he helped get a special needs kid out of an overturned car.
