The Netflix show based on graphic novels by Joe Hill released on Netflix not too long ago, just last month to be more precise. The show follows a group of children as they find a hoard of magical keys that unlock different wonders aroun their house. As whimsical as this sounds the show is actually very dark and deals with heavy themes mostly surrounding death and violence.
If you haven’t checked it out, now is a good time since they have announced that they plan a second season. Especially since that last season left us on quite the cliff hanger.
“Based on the incredible graphic novel from Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez, Locke and Key captivated audiences around the world at every twist and turn,” Brian Wright, Vice President of Original Series for Netflix said in a statement. “We are so proud to have been part of this show and can’t wait to see all that Carlton Cuse, Meredith Averill, and the entire creative team have in store for season two.”
The announcement did not give us a release date nor did it mention a filming schedule for the series. We assume that this information will depend heavily on the containment and treatment of Covid-19. Which unfortunately has halted productions on numerous films and series since its discovery earlier this year. Putting the production on hault indefinitely for the time being.
We will still count it as a win for good news. What do you make of this news? Be sure to let us know in the comments.
