J.K. Rowling is Permitting Teacher’s Access to readings of ‘Harry Potter’

Schools are currently out until the unforeseeable future. With this, students are being homeschooled and feeling a bit stir crazy from being home 24/7. Our favorite author J.K. Rowling decided to help ease the boredom for these students. She is permitting that teachers have an open license to posting videos online of them reading “Harry Potter” books out loud.

On Friday, J.K. Rowling and The Blair Partnership gave notice that they are modifying their normal copyright permissions. Giving teachers access to post videos of themselves reading all seven of the “Harry Potter” books, onto schools’ secure networks or closed educational platforms till the end of the school year.

Delighted to help teachers reach kids at home by relaxing the usual licence required to post videos of themselves reading Harry Potter books. Go to https://t.co/77d90pkiYK to find the guidelines. Be well, everyone. More soon! ?#HarryPotterAtHome
