Hospital Gives Tom Hanks a “Wilson” to Keep Him Company in Quarantine

Gold Coast Hospital staff have reportedly rolled in a Wilson volleyball to keep Tom company while recovering in quarantine. It was yesterday when the news broke that he and his wife Rita Wilson had been tested positive for COVID-19. They are currently being kept under care and are isolated while the time limit for the disease passes and can be released.

They were diagnosed with Coronavirus while working on the new Elvis biopic from Baz Lurhmann. They are unsure how the virus got to the cast and crew or who brought it in at this point but they are currently investigating. They are attempting to eradicate it before shooting picks up again though it may be a case of postponement for the film.

If anything at least Tom and Rita seem to be in high spirits. Tom Hanks statement was clearly very positive when he announced that he and Rita had contracted COVID-19.

“Hello, folks. Rita and I are down here in Australia. We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too. To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus, and were found to be positive.

Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?

We’ll keep the world posted and updated.

Take care of yourselves!” – Tom Hanks

Edit: While it has been pointed out that the site quoted is satire(without a satirical label), the fact that Tom Hanks has coronavirus is very true. So while this story turned out to be false we hope that it brightened your day a little amid all this COVID-19 confusion.
